Christ Church Dunstable
As a church they had a lot of content to get onto the website that initially seemed unstructured and cluttered. The previous site had a great deal of information on but lacked clarity and usability on finding and using the information effectively. The new website needed to provide a platform for new church attendees wanting to find out more about the church as well as members who had been attending for decades.
The website was made in a fully responsive way and uses the churches colour scheme in fonts and block colours to convey the brand throughout. The design is on a 960 grid with a 2/3 split for the majority of content pages.
There is a calendar integration which feeds from a Google Calendar and allows the church’s admin team to add, manage or delete any events without having to have admin access to the website.
The website also houses resources for church members which is behind a simple password request. This allows for some of the more sensitive content to be available to just members of the church such as diaries, rotas and sermons.
There is a feature to allow the church to assign a daily bible verse to each day, which links to an external biblical reference. There is also a twitter integration with pulls through the latest tweet from their account.
Type of project
A Church WordPress website housing resources and calendars.
What they said
We have been very pleased with the website Matt has built us. He took on board, and helped us improve, our ideas in the design phase. He has ably incorporated additional features as we’ve needed them. The finished product is a website that looks good and is easy to manage.
